Originally from Bentonville, Arkansas, Sydney relocated to Chicago at the age of 16 to pursue a career in comedy, where she began studying at The Second City Training Center.
After turning 21, Sydney began as an intern for Chicago Underground Comedy, where she later became a producer and programming director, retiring from the show after four years on her 25th birthday.
In addition to performing standup comedy and storytelling, she's also a faculty member at The Second City Training Center, and Third Coast Comedy Club, where she teaches stand-up comedy, storytelling, and public speaking classes (both in-person, as well as virtual). Sydney has also hosted and produced showcases for The Comedy Bar Nashville, and Third Coast Comedy Club in Tennessee.
She is a co-founder of SPILLED INC., a micro-budget film production company with content on various platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, as well as the host and producer of the podcasts Growing Up Fundie, and I Swear This Really Happened.
